Rivet Nut / Threaded Insert Nut

A Rivet Nut (also known as a Threaded Insert Nut or Blind Insert) is a tubular rivet with internal threads designed to create a strong thread in thin sheet materials, tubing, or hollow profiles where thread tapping is impossible. It installs easily from one side of the material ("blind installation") using a rivet nut tool. Once compressed, it expands tightly to form a permanent, load-bearing thread. The knurled body design resists spin-out when bolts or screws are tightened. Application: Metal furniture frames, sheet metal fabrication, aluminum profiles, automotive, and structural metal assembly.
